Civita in Bagnoregio was a great little town built on a pinnacle rising from the valley below.

Most of the property now is being purchased by rich Italians as vacation retreats, but there is a bed and breakfast in the city, although it isn’t easy to get to. The climb to Civita is a lot steeper than it appears at first glance. Below you’ll see a picture of Edie struggling to get into the city, which she wasn’t happy that I took. I even threw in a picture of me on the steps to someones home. It’s not the best picture of me, but it’s the only one on this trip. (Click on the pictures for a full size view, and zoom in for a better perspective, especially of the climb.)
