Well, had the operation, and everything seems ok so far. There’s no significant pain as of yet, but I’m sensing that might not last long. Fortunately the Doctor gave me a prescription for Tylenol w/Codeine just in case.
The bandage on my hand is a little bigger than I had expected or hoped, which is making it very difficult to write this post. Having to use one hand, when you’re used to using two, certainly doesn’t help.
So suffice it to say, the operation went well, and I’m home resting now.

Well, I hope the pain still isn’t too great today and that this surgery takes care of the problem permanently. Tylenol with codeine can be a good friend in some instances. I hope you heal quickly and are soon back on your bike!
Not after taking two Tylenol it’s not so bad. But even worse than the pain is the fact I feel totally helpless.
Even trying to tear open a tea bag is painful, and how am I supposed to take a shower, or wash my hair? Any movement of my left arm is painful.
I’m just hoping for better things tomorrow!
Sit in your Jacuzzi and air dry. Go to a salon and get your hair washed. Ask for a big “chesty girl”. Am I helpful or what?
Am glad to hear you are doing fine, that bandage looks huge! And don’t be stubborn about pain pills, there is no point in suffering.
